WORK designs are inspired by urban geometrics and nature's silhouettes from day-to-day living and foreign travels. Contrasting interests in modern art and architecture vs Indian block printing traditions combine to influence design ideas with the desire to develop designs with an easy modern scandi style.
Original artwork is drawn and painted, or imagery is captured in photographs. Artwork is scanned and put into repeat. CAD manipulation to edit, enhance, layer, combine, colour, or develop to further meet market trends, follows.
WORK designs are available as combined layer 300DPI files (TIF or PSD) that work within a 64cm repeat (unless otherwise stated). The PORTFOLIO presents designs with actual scale dimensions specified. Individual design price options are available in 3 options: full copyright sale, single category license or 3 year license. Separated layers and colour way development can be requested and charged at an additional hourly rate. Please go to the CONTACT page and submit your request.
All designs are copyright of WORK until purchased.
The WORK PORTFOLIO is presented in small genres and change regularly. Scroll through SMALL GEOMETRICS, ORGANICS, PAINTERLY, and CONVERSATIONAL. Individual design spec can be accessed by the i button. Some designs can include original photographic imagery, or tonal detailed markings which may only be suitable for digital reproduction rather than wet printing.
WORK designs translate into different scales and production qualities. The same small geometric could be wet printed or woven (on a shirt or pillowcase), or could be scaled-up for an embroidered repeated pattern or motif (on a cushion or rug), or for a more abstract placement application (off-set on a skirt or rug). And of course digital printing can reproduce designs with all the detail of the original artwork or photograph. Continue to scroll through some end use vision sketches with varying scales in VISUALS (also with i buttons).
WORK designs are patterns for surfaces, focused mainly on the activewear, fashion and interior textile industry, but are also suitable for wallpaper and stationery.
